On Friday 15 December, The Australian ran an Opinion piece by ECP Legal Partner Shaaron Dalton, alongside figures from The Australian Partnership Survey highlighting the numbers of female equity and salaried partners in large and international law firms across Australia. In her article, Shaaron discusses the progress made on the gender balance front in 2017 – with 24.9% of partners in surveyed firms being female, up from 23.7% in 2016. However, as Shaaron underscores, these small steps, whilst encouraging, are not nearly enough.
